For the Love of Everything Beautiful
For the Love of Everything Beautiful is a deeply personal journey crafted entirely by Maleena, who played every instrument, penned each lyric, and handled the recording and mixing process alone. At its core, the album embodies the healing power of music and the sheer joy it brings. Opening with the title track, a sprawling 6-minute epic, Maleena takes listeners on a poignant narrative of a girl navigating a challenging path. The song gradually builds momentum, starting with gentle piano and vocals, shifting to an uplifting major key as the girl finds inspiration amidst nature's embrace.
Throughout the album, tracks like ‘Red Flags,’ ‘Nowhere to Hide,’ and a cover of Hanson's ‘Strong Enough to Break’ delve into universal struggles and emotional resilience. ‘Growing Up’ and ‘Change’ explore the complexities of adulthood and life's inevitable transformations. The album culminates with ‘Not That Kinda Love Song’ and ‘Reprise,’ which celebrate music's profound joy and catharsis, completing a journey of introspection, growth, and unabashed happiness.

Lyrics
She walks the fraying wire, at points only hanging on by the skin of her teeth
Is it worth holding on for, or best to just plummet to whatever lies beneath?
With no clear end in sight she wonders “where does this cold and winding road go?”
If she reaches the destination unacquainted, will she even know?
The lights are dim and fading, the frigid journey is endlessly long
Why would she continue if there’s seemingly no cause?
But then she hears a sound coming from up above
A small shred of light appears to allow a vision of the mourning dove
He calls a somber song and fills the girl with ambition
She chases after his beautiful call and sings his repetition
Suddenly the path feels less narrow and the sun is beaming bright
But she doesn’t seem to notice, forgetting about her dreadful plight
From the nearby brush appears a tree frog humming a bass line
And as he does the cold melts away and buds arise in springtime
The girl stops her frightful travels to join in the harmonies
Completely abandoning her grievous travels, her heart is filled with ease
The forest fills with music, the creatures melodies all awhirl
But the voice that sings the loudest is one of the enlightened girl
For the love of everything beautiful, her journey ceases to be
To look around and find music and love is all the young girl needs
